Invitations - check, Birthday outfit - check, Cake ordered - check...

I am starting to see more checks on my party planning birthday list. I already received the party favors, birthday outfit, invitations, ordered the cake and smash cake, ordered the banners and purchased a few decorations to start on. I've even made a sample batch of Oreo pops, which might I say were DELICIOUS! Feeling the Pressure.....

Miss Bryn's 1st Birthday is sneaking up on us! So far I have the outfit ordered, invitations picked out, and party favors bought. I need to contact the cake lady, go to my favorite candy shop to order the candy, truffles, etc., and make sure the soft serve ice cream machine is rented. On top of all the DIY projects I plan on doing for my my sweet baby girl! Let the fun begin! Wanna see a picture of the Birthday Girl's Outfit for her Big Day? If not, don't look. ;)

Walk to End Alzheimer's!

I have decided to participate in the Walk to End Alzheimer's this year at Trinity Park in Fort Worth. I don't participate in such things, usually just donate and cheer on the cause. I think in all my life I have done 1 walk in Dallas, which was about 15 years ago, and I most definitely volunteer and attend the Annual Danielle LeBlanc Memorial Benefit Concert for Battered Women , every year. But other than that, I don't actually "participate", much less lead a team. So, taking the initiative to LEAD a team is huge for me. But I am so excited to be part of this cause. Ever since my Gram was diagnosed with Dementia, and later on discovered the long term effects of this, I was terrified. Then to find that this disease is the single largest unaddressed public health threat facing the nation today, I had to do something about it.
