Walk to End Alzheimer's!

I have decided to participate in the Walk to End Alzheimer's this year at Trinity Park in Fort Worth. I don't participate in such things, usually just donate and cheer on the cause. I think in all my life I have done 1 walk in Dallas, which was about 15 years ago, and I most definitely volunteer and attend the Annual Danielle LeBlanc Memorial Benefit Concert for Battered Women, every year. But other than that, I don't actually "participate", much less lead a team. So, taking the initiative to LEAD a team is huge for me. But I am so excited to be part of this cause. Ever since my Gram was diagnosed with Dementia, and later on discovered the long term effects of this, I was terrified. Then to find that this disease is the single largest unaddressed public health threat facing the nation today, I had to do something about it. So I have started a team, The Rat Pack, including my family and some of our closest friends. Funny name, huh? Well if you know my Gram, you would understand. She has collected mice aka rats, for as long as I can remember, so I thought the name was appropriate.

I can't wait to start seeing donations and watch my meter get closer and closer to my goal. If you would like to donate, please go to this link.
