Walk to End Alzheimer's!
I have decided to participate in the Walk to End Alzheimer's this year at Trinity Park in Fort Worth. I don't participate in such things, usually just donate and cheer on the cause. I think in all my life I have done 1 walk in Dallas, which was about 15 years ago, and I most definitely volunteer and attend the Annual Danielle LeBlanc Memorial Benefit Concert for Battered Women , every year. But other than that, I don't actually "participate", much less lead a team. So, taking the initiative to LEAD a team is huge for me. But I am so excited to be part of this cause. Ever since my Gram was diagnosed with Dementia, and later on discovered the long term effects of this, I was terrified. Then to find that this disease is the single largest unaddressed public health threat facing the nation today, I had to do something about it.
